TSU observes 46th Foundation Day is Tripura

Agartala Aug 19: Tribal Students Union (TSU) affiliated to Students’ Federation of India, wing of the Communist Party of India, Marxist (CPI-M) celebrated its 46th Foundation Day at the Chatra Yuva Bhavan, Melarmath area of the capital city on Saturday.
The day was celebrated with full devotion under the banner of “Save Education, Save Constitution, Save India”. The leaders hoisted the party’s organizational flag and later paid tribute to the martyr’s dais.
Detailing the importance of the day, TSU state general secretary Sujit Tripura said, “On August 19, 1978, the movement of the Tribal Students Union began with a two-day conference in Khowai Sub-division under the leadership of Aghore Debbarma. 44 years have passed since then. Every year, the leaders and workers of TSU celebrate the foundation day of the organization with due dignity”.
Sujit Tripura further said that the movement of the organization will continue against the privatization of education and solving the important issues like teacher crisis, employment opportunities, stipends and others.
Besides, he gave a message of unity of youths to continue the struggle for the sake of students.
